Exercise Development Support (Operations) MCTOG

Provides exercise design and development of scenarios.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate courses in support of MCTOG formal schools.
  • Analyze, develop, validate, and document exercise design products for the training audience to meet current training objectives for service specific, joint, and combined exercises across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO).
  • Provide feedback and improvement strategies to Regimental and Battalion Commanders and staff during battle staff training, exercises MCTOG leads or participates in, and maneuver warfare mentorship to students during formal learning programs.
  • Includes MAGTF Intelligence within Exercise Design for virtual and constructive exercises
  • Includes MAGTF Fires Integration within Exercise Design for virtual and constructive exercises.
  • Includes MAGTF Logistic support and resupply within Exercise Design for virtual and constructive exercises.
  • Support provided across warfighting functions of C2, and Information.
  • Design, Develop, and Adapt sound tactical adversary plans for each specified exercise.
  • Facilitate adversary debriefs and after-action reviews immediately following exercises MCTOG lead or participated in.
  • MAGTF Fires Integration SME, Develop, coordinate, synchronize, and manage MSELs during training exercise execution.
  • Review relevant studies, briefs, and documents to identify major C5I gaps that should be considered for United States Marine Corps.
  • Shall understand the roles and responsibilities and duties of Composite Warfare Commander (CWC).
  • Use Joint exercise design knowledge, Theater Sustainment Command concepts to provide a constructive training environment for exercises/training events/wargames to observe learning outcomes.
  • Develop geographically specific, reality-based, theater-level logistics scenarios, threads, and injects for inclusion into Joint Master Scenario Events List (JMSEL) for MCTOG exercises/training events/wargames.
 EDUCATION 
  • Career level school at the appropriate level.
EXPERIENCE 
  • Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) experience.
  • Writing division or higher operations orders.
  • Writing orders and fragmentary orders (FragO) at the Division or higher level.
  • Experience in all source intel analysis, and integration.
  • Develop collection plans at the Division or higher that integrate Joint collections capabilities.
  • Adversary collections capability, decision timelines, Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Asses (F2T2EA) process, and authorities.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ​​​​​Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
  •  Provides exercise design expertise to all areas of the MCTOG program.
 WORKING CONDITIONS 
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS 

  • Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE ​​​​​​​

  • Secret clearance or higher is required for this position.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION 

  • $70,000-$140,000
