Exercise Development Support Advanced Brigade Subject Matter Expert (SME) MCTOG

Provides exercise design and development of scenarios.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate courses in support of MCTOG formal schools.
  • Provide experience in applying research and foundational knowledge to real world organizational, leadership and education issues, culture, strategic communications, design theory, and research ISO MCTOG's prepotency role within the TECOM learning enterprise.
  • Attend, support, and participate in periodic working groups (WGs), off-sites, and operational planning teams (OPTs) in all manners concerning faculty development and curriculum design.
  • Analyze, develop, validate, and document exercise design products for the training audience to meet current training objectives for service specific, joint, and combined exercises across the Range of Military Operations. (ROMO).
  • Knowledge of warfighting /staff functions from the company to Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB) level.
  • Provide support for formal learning programs and Battle Staff Training.
  • Provide support for Formal Learning and exercises that MCTOG leads or participates in.
  • Provide coach, teach and mentoring to response cell personnel IOT familiarize personnel with systems, processes and scenario
  • Support exercise control cells and response cells (Company - MEB, IOC, Ops Center, FECC, etc.).
  • Develop, coordinate, synchronize, and manage MSELs during training exercise execution.
  • Submit key insights, lessons learned, and best practices after each exercise.
 EDUCATION 
  • Career level school at the appropriate level.
EXPERIENCE 
  • Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) experience.
  • Writing maneuver annexes/appendices/tabs for division or higher operations orders.
  • Developing CONOPS based on Adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP).
  • Adversary: Find, Fix, Track, Target, Engage, Asses (F2T2EA) process and targeting methodologies.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ​​​​​Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
  •  Provides exercise design expertise to all areas of the MCTOG program.
 WORKING CONDITIONS 
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS 

  • Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE ​​​​​​​

  • Secret clearance or higher is required for this position.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION 

  • $70,000-$140,000
