Exercise Development Support (Naval Integration) MCTOG

Twentynine Palms, CA
Provides naval exercise design and development scenarios.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Facilitate courses in support of MCTOG formal schools.
  • Analyze, develop, validate, and document exercise design products for the training audience to meet current training objectives for service specific, joint, and combined exercises across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO).
  • Provide support for formal learning programs and Battle Staff Training.
  • Review relevant studies, briefs, and documents to identify major Command, Control, Computing, Communications, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) gaps that should be considered for MAGTF/Joint Naval Amphibious Operations within exercise design to include USN integration of fires.
  • Shall understand the roles and responsibilities and duties of Composite Warfare Commander (CWC) and Sea Combat Commander (SCC).
  • Provide, review and develop products to support integration of USMC and Naval fires. Participate in the development of US Navy and USMC effort to develop a Maritimes fires process for future exercise development that could be added to the Composite Warfare Commander / Sea Combatant Commander taking into consideration the Commandant’s Planning Guidance and CNO Guidance / Force Development.
  • Review relevant studies, briefs, and documents to identify major C5I gaps that should be considered for MAGTF/Joint Naval Amphibious within exercise design.
  • Conduct exercises across Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) training environment.
  EDUCATION 
  • Career level school at the appropriate level.
EXPERIENCE 
  • Marine Corps Planning Process / Navy Planning Process (MCPP/NPP) or equivalent.
  • Experience working at a Flag Officer staff level.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of military doctrine, tactics, and command relationships at the Joint operational command level.
  • Knowledge of warfighting / staff functions from the company to Marine Expeditionary Brigade (MEB) level.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and/or SharePoint.
  •  Provides exercise design expertise to all areas of the MCTOG program.
 WORKING CONDITIONS 
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS 

  • Occasional travel CONUS/OCONUS may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.

SECURITY CLEARANCE ​​​​​​​

  • Top Secret clearance is required for this position.

ESTIMATED COMPENSATION 

  • $70,000-$140,000
