Media/Videographer Specialist

Quantico, VA
The Media/Videographer Specialist t the College of Distance Education and Training (CDET) reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Site Lead.  The Media/Videographer Specialist will perform the following duties:
  • Design, develop, and integrate multimedia elements and products in curriculum course materials.
  • Capture and edit video and audio, and work with Adobe products to integrate interactive multimedia elements.
  • Conduct research for appropriate video/audio clips, and photographs from the Marine Corps Audio/Visual (A/V) Repository and other Marine Corps agencies.
  • Develop computer-based learning products using HTML5 and later products.
  • Provide multimedia products to course directors in the development of their course material.
  • Develop multimedia that supports instructional validity and technical performance for asynchronous, self-paced delivery via MarineNet in accordance with the MarineNet Courseware Development Technical Standards.
  • Develop multimedia for electronic delivery on MarineNet in accordance with the MarineNet Courseware Development Technical Standards.
  • Develop multimedia for marketing and outreach programs in support of CDET and MCU.
  • Capture and edit video of speakers at Marine Corps University for delivery to Distance Professional Military Education students through the E-Learning Ecosytem (MarineNet, Learning Support System Etc).  
  • A minimum of four years of experience and a HS Diploma or equivalent is required, a BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience integrating multimedia into E-Learning curriculums.  
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Marine Corps.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office.
  • Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
  • All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider
  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance.
  • 15-25% travel expected.
  • Position expected to begin on or about 1 Jul 2021.
