Management Analyst

The Management Analyst reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Project Manager.  The Management Analyst will perform the following duties: 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Develops, analyzes, evaluates, advises on, and/or improves the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management. 
  • Develop recommendations for the design and development of joint and combined Command Post Exercises (CPXs), Field Training Exercises (FTXs), and Table Top Exercises (TTXs) to rehearse plans and train operational commanders and staffs. 
  • Develop recommendations regarding the design of action plans to operate, maintain, and manage, training and exercise scenario information to include joint operating environments, command and control, fires, intelligence, logistics, force protection, fires, and opposing forces/situational forces campaign plans.  
  • Develop scheduled training event recommendations and plans for execution. Develop a framework model to enable adaptation for unscheduled emerging mission requirements. Develop training materials (i.e., online, classroom, blended, etc. based on applicability). Develop recommendations for learning delivery options (e.g., academics, training events, etc.); and develop recommendations to leverage existing resources to gain efficiency and effectiveness in execution. Training courses are assigned by MARFORPAC leadership.  
  • Provide technical assistance in the execution of joint and combined training and exercise events, interoperability workshops, table top exercises, and senior leader seminars. Develop recommendations regarding the management of scenario information, to include joint operating environments and opposing forces/situational forces campaign plans.  
  • Assess exercise events through observation and develop recommendations for sustained future operations. Conduct evaluation of designated activities during joint and combined training and exercise events, interoperability workshops, table top exercises, and senior leader seminars. Arrange and facilitate After-Action Review (AAR) and lessons learned meetings to review event support and associated deliverables following the conclusion of each supported event. 
  • Conduct scheduled in-progress reviews and confirmation briefs; prepare and deliver associated meeting minutes.  
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Four (4) years’ experience and/or a BA/BS degree. 
  • Attended Professional Military Education appropriate to rank at time of separation or retirement from the uniformed service.   
  • Experience on a 3 Star or 4 Star staff is desired.

  • Strong communications and presentation skills.  
  • Have a working knowledge of the Marine Corps and Joint Planning Process. 
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office.
  • Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.  
WORKING CONDITIONS 
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
  • All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS 
  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance. 
  • 15-25% travel expected. 
  • Position expected to begin on or about 1 Dec 2020.
