Curriculum Developer

Quantico, VA
The Curriculum Developer reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Project Manager. The Curriculum Developer will perform the following duties:

  • Review and analyze the CRSS Training and Readiness Manual (CRSS T&R) tasks and produce learning objectives
  • Determine the learning objectives and task relationships, cluster learning events, organize course content, and develop instruction design plans for the above courses
  • Provide CRSS curriculum administration and management services, and ensure the POI material is accessible to all CRSS Trainers via the Marine Corps Training and Information Management Systems (MCTIMS)
  • Analyze, design, develop, and evaluate master lesson files for CRSS POIs
  • Submit curriculum reports to the CRSS Curriculum Section
  • Provide a Record of Proceedings for all Learning Analysis, Master Lesson File (MLF) Reviews, and Course Content Review Boards (CRRBs) curriculum events for designated CRSS POIs.
  • Manage CRSS training student throughput data in the Marine Corps Training Information Management System MCTIMS for designated POIs.
  • Attend and provide After Action Reports from Joint, Service, and Inter-Service CRSS training meetings, teleconferences, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) membership meetings related to assigned POIs.
  • Develop draft CRSS POI review schedules for designated POIs.
  • Consolidate Instructor and course critique information provided by CRSS Instructors and Information Management POIs. Analyze the data and provide the results summary to the CRSS Curriculum Development Section Head.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
  • High School Diploma—Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Curriculum Development Course required.
  • A Minimum of three (3) years developing curriculum at a USMC schoolhouse.
  • Experience with USMC Information Management practices preferred.
  • Experience with TBMCS preferred.
  • Experience with Question Mark.
  • Experience with HTML5.
  • Experience with CSS.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using military brevity.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows 2000/XP and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills in support of rapidly changing scheduling and staffing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
  • All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance
  • Requires 0% - 5% travel
