The SharePoint Coordinator reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Project Manager. Working in the MAGTFTC G-3 department, the SharePoint Coordinator will support the MAGTF TC and Marine Air Ground Combat Center (MAGCC – base) HQ by performing the following duties: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the expert responsible for analyzing and developing solutions to satisfy G3 SharePoint™ objectives in support of a wider Information Management Plan (IMP).
  • Act as SharePoint Site Collection Administrator for MAGTFTC.
  • Apply systems analysis techniques to develop custom solutions within SharePoint.
  • Incorporate process automation via custom solutions and built-in features to improve operational efficiency.
  • Act as liaison between hosting organization support staff and subordinate command staff for SharePoint-related matters.
  • Create and maintain all aspects of SharePoint™ including site collections, sites, master pages/templates, pages, web parts, content types, lists, libraries, workflows, and navigation.
  • Incorporate SharePoint Designer™ and Infopath™ and develop workflows.
  • Develop custom front-end web interfaces to extend the base functionality.
  • Collaborate with military and contractor functional/technical leads to produce solution design documents and process flow charts.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with SharePoint™ Services. Evaluate threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.  Recommend and develop countermeasures to mitigate those risks.
  • Develop standard and custom solutions to implement a center intranet, content management, and document store platform for the G3.
  • Maintain proper and current Information Assurance (IA) certification to perform IA functions and SharePoint™ server administration per current versions of DoD 8570, "Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program and the SECNAV M-5239.2,” DON Information Assurance (IA) Workforce Management Manual to Support the IA Workforce Improvement Program.
  • Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and management of the overall SharePoint™ environment.
  • Provide technical skills across multiple disciplines including application and systems analysis, infrastructure, and solution architecture.
  • Convert provided designs into functioning SharePoint™ pages and templates.
  • Participate in IM Working Groups. Provide expert guidance, advice, and solutions to IM Working Group members. Evaluate and recommend new SharePoint™ related tools and technologies.
  • Provide instruction and assist designated Government and Contractor IM representatives in creating and maintaining SharePoint™ sites and in using collaborative Web-based software applications to support operations.
 
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline to include Computer Science or MIS desired.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of five years experience in the Marine Corps required.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, at least six years of experience in a professional IT-related role. 
  • Experience in a SharePoint environment with required excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with others and senior management.
  • Ideal candidate is a former Company Grade Officer or SNCO.

  • Possess knowledge on network and server relationships between SharePoint Services and Active Directory, Domain Name Services, and Microsoft Exchange.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.  Able to design and write clear communications and present training programs.
