Corps Solutions supports the U.S. Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MWTC) in Bridgeport, CA with Exercise Control (ExCon) support during each Mountain Exercise (MTX).

ExCon Logistics SME reports to and receives work direction from the ExCon Director. The ExCon Logistics SME will develop exercise related products by performing the following duties:

  • Supports the MWTC Exercise Control Group during MTX events by filling a key position in the ExCon.
  • Leads development of logistics related exercise storylines and Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects.
  • Observes and assesses the effectiveness of the units undergoing planning and execution of multi-functional logistics support.
  • Reviews Exercise Force (Battalion-level) OPORDs and FRAGORDs as appropriate in support of exercise development and execution.
  • Assists planners and action officers on Exercise Force staffs to develop briefs/orders/products, as required in support of battalion-level mountain warfare operations.
  • Serves as Higher and Adjacent Headquarters (H&AHQ) for exercise force.
  • Assists the customer in training new ExCon team members (government and civilian).
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Completion of Military career level PME is required.
  • Candidates must have at least 10 years of military service as an officer or SNCO and must be well versed in the Marine Corps Planning Process.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing OPORDS at the battalion level or higher, specifically Annex D.
  • The ideal candidate is a former Infantry Battalion S-4 or S-4 Chief or Combat Logistics Battalion S-3 or S-3 Chief.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.  A

  • Proficient in computer operating systems and applications such as Windows and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with current trends, doctrine, and automated systems in use by the logistics community.

  • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
  • Daily travel in local area during work day (including use of personal vehicle).
  • Ability to work at high elevations.
  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance
  • Requires 10%-20% travel
