The Range Safety Inspector Supervisor / Site Lead receives work direction derivatives from the government via work plan and reports to the Project Manager. The Range Safety Inspector Supervisor/Site Lead will perform the following duties:

  • Supervise a team of four Range Safety Inspectors and one Range Scheduler.
  • Satisfy the requirements of the government’s work plan.
  • Task organize the Range Inspectors to efficiently accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Perform maintenance and upkeep of property and equipment located throughout the MOUT facilities and other range training areas.
  • Clean out and clean up broken and destroyed training atmospherics and turn items into the appropriate recycling lot. 
  • Conduct thorough walk through, police, reset, and safety inspection of all MOUT facilities, to include structures, tunnels, basements, grounds, and associated COP and FOBs.
  • Inspect facilities, and conduct cleanup and property accountability.
  • Collect, sort, and turn-in brass to the appropriate facility.
  • Conduct range inspections upon completion of unit training.
  • Generate and track completion of work requests to correct facility deficiencies (as required).
  • Coordinate maintenance support (as required).
  • Provide a daily update of the previous day’s accomplishments to the MOUT Section Head.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, SOPs, and safety procedures within all training areas.
  • Enforce Company vehicle policies.
  • Submit Monthly Report detailing tasks accomplished.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.
  • High School Diploma  
  • Range Safety Distance Learning Course (MarineNet)
  • Ideal candidate is a former Marine NCO or SNCO with experience working in the range community.
  • Strong leadership a must.
  • Initiative based personality.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Requires manual labor for extended periods of time.
  • Prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements.
  • Heavy lifting (50 lbs. plus).
  • Daily travel in training areas during work day.
  • Poor driving conditions due to rugged terrain, weather, and range debris.
